Natures Retreat is a French holiday home set in the heart of the Limousin region of France. It is just a 35-minute drive from Limoges airport. Situated centrally in an area of outstanding natural beauty it is the perfect base to explore the region whilst catering to the needs of the family and fisherperson alike. There is something here for all. This is your opportunity to enjoy your own exclusive French Country Farmhouse with swimming pool, seasonal hot tub and a bespoke 2-acre French carp lake with fish in excess of 60lb set in 12 acres of the wild French countryside. This is the location for a fantastic family holiday to remember.
Building on the initial desire to create the perfect lake, significant work was carried out early 2010’s with the headland separating the smaller lakes being removed and a central island being formed along with additional ‘swims’. There are in excess of 70 carp ranging from the high teens to over the 60lb mark.
The largest rod caught carp out so far this year has been a shade over 57lb with winter netting weights far exceeding this. This season is going to be a blast, our new management and feeding regime is paying dividends!
At Natures Retreat we are fanatical about the type and quality of the feed and bait being used on our water. We only feed with high-quality feed and only allow the use of fresh or frozen baits.
This approach has been giving the anglers here some fantastic results over the past year with most beating their personal bests and catching hard fighting pristine specimens.
Catches from the lake this year so far have been good with the average weights being mid 30s. A Significant number of 40s have been out as well as several of the 50 plus ones. There is more to come!
There is still plenty of time to break the lake record given the right tactics and patience.
